• Thank you to the team for making me feel comfortable. Dental experiences are very difficult for me.They made me feel at ease and were patient with me. I will definitely continue to make regular dental visits, and my family will also be patients at this office from now on. They have done work for my husband in the past and I will not feel comfortable anywhere else.
  • I am a new patient of Singh Smile Care and I am impressed with the care and attention they have given me. The entire staff made me feel at home and Dr Singh was very concerned about my comfort and explained the procedures in detail. I will definitely recommend Singh Smile Care.

Every time I need major work done Dr. Singh gives the best shots, I can hardly feel him giving me the shot. The staff is alway friendly and they always have a smile on their face. Periodontal Therapy in Phoenix, AZ

Phoenix AZ Periodontal TherapyIf your gums feel tender or are inflamed, you may be suffering from some level of periodontal disease (gum disease.) Gum disease is very common, affecting almost half of all American adults over 30. Research has shown that chronic diseases of the mouth can contribute to serious general health problems like heart and respiratory disease, so prompt treatment of gum disease is essential to protecting your oral health and general well-being.

We understand the importance of effective treatment for gum disease, but we know that some patients are worried that it might be uncomfortable or even painful. Rest assured that Dr. Singh and our professional team use state-of-the-art equipment to treat gum disease quickly and comfortably. Helping you achieve perfect oral health is the reason we are here, and we strive to provide the treatment you need without stress or worry.

What Is Periodontal Disease?

Periodontal disease, or gum disease, is an infection that affects gum and bone tissue surrounding your teeth. The food and drink we consume during the day lingers on our teeth, forming a sticky film called plaque. Plaque left on your teeth eventually hardens into a substance called tartar. Plaque and tartar are magnets for bacteria, and if the bacteria are not removed through proper brushing and regular dental cleanings, a periodontal infection can develop.

How Is Periodontal Disease Treated?

For many years, the only treatment for advanced periodontal disease was gum surgery. But dental technology has come a long way, and Singh Smile Care is pleased to offer treatments for gum disease that are completely non-invasive, requiring no surgery. We use state-of-the-art periodontal lasers that remove harmful bacteria and actually encourage regrowth of healthy gum tissue. Dental lasers are gentle and comfortable and allow you to receive important treatment with no discomfort and little to no recovery time.

What Does Treatment for Gum Disease Involve?

Dr. Singh will perform a thorough assessment and examination of your teeth and gums to determine the extent of the periodontal infection. If he finds that you have advanced periodontal disease, he will recommend the use of dental lasers to remove the infection.

Treatment with dental lasers is very gentle and can be performed efficiently and with no discomfort. Dr. Singh guides the laser around the gums to carefully remove bacteria while leaving healthy gum tissue intact. The treatment is usually done over two appointments to reduce the amount of time you spend in the dental chair. Most patients experience no discomfort at all and are able to go about their day as usual after treatment.

Dr. Singh may also recommend CloSYS II, a unique system of holistic oral health products that you use at home to help control the growth of bacteria in your mouth. The system includes an oral health rinse, toothpaste, and breath spray. We want you to have all the tools you need to protect your oral health and prevent periodontal disease from coming back.

Please contact our office to schedule an appointment for a consultation. We look forward to hearing from you and helping you to achieve a lifetime of excellent oral health.
