Before & After Cases
REAL PATIENTS REAL RESULTS
Severe crowding fixed in 2 weeks
Our patient had severely flared out teeth and were not aligned. This caused her to be shy and not smile much. We corrected this in less than 2 weeks and gave her the dream smile she always wanted.
Gum recession and root exposure
Over time, our patient had seen his gums pull away from the teeth and expose the roots. He had big spaces between teeth and food would always be stuck in those spaces. After every meal, he had to use a toothpick to get it out. He was tired of it and was unhappy about the appearance. We were able to improve the look and made it easier to clean his teeth by putting on porcelain crowns.
Avail Custom-Made Night Guards, SNORE GUARDS, & SPORTS GUARDS IN Phoenix
Are you kept awake by your partner’s snoring? Do you grind your teeth during sleep then awaken with neck or shoulder pain? Are you an athlete who needs the ultimate in dental protection for contact sports? You may be wondering what these seemingly different concerns have in common.
The answer for all is mouth guards.
We are always learning new and better ways to treat a variety of oral health concerns. Problems like snoring and teeth grinding are annoying but may also be symptoms of more serious problems like sleep apnea and TMJ. Dental technology is always changing, and Dr. Singh has received many hours of continuing education so that he can provide the most up-to-date treatments that address these problems.
Snoring and Sleep Apnea
Excessive snoring and struggling to breathe during sleep may be a sign of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). This is a serious medical condition that should be treated immediately because it can lead to complications like high blood pressure and strokes. It’s important to note that snoring does not always indicate OSA, so the first step is to speak to your physician. He or she may recommend a sleep study to pinpoint the exact problem.
If your physician determines that your snoring is not caused by OSA, Dr. Singh can create a mouth guard to hold your jaw in a position that will reduce or eliminate snoring. If your sleep study shows that you do have OSA, you may be a candidate for an oral appliance that comfortably and safely treats the problem. We work closely with your physician to determine what type of appliance will work best for you.
Mouth Guards to Eliminate Symptoms of TMJ/TMD
Your temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is located at the point where your lower jaw meets the side of your head. This flexible joint allows the jaw to move so that you can speak, chew, and make facial expressions. TMJ or TMD refers to certain disorders of this joint that affect millions of people. These disorders can cause pain in the jaw and surrounding muscles.
The TMJ is one of the more complex joints in the body, and so it is difficult for researchers to pinpoint the exact cause of these disorders. Trauma or injury is responsible for some disorders associated with TMJ/TMD. Other contributing risk factors may be arthritis or dysfunction of the disc in the joint that allows the joint to move smoothly. TMJ/TMD appears to be more common in women than men.
Symptoms of TMJ/TMD may include:
Bruxism, or teeth grinding, is often associated with TMJ/TMD. But teeth grinding may be a symptom as well as a cause of TMJ/TMD and bite misalignment. You may grind your teeth because of a misaligned dental bite, stress, or other factors, but the force of constant grinding may cause your TMJ to become misaligned.
At this time there is no cure for TMJ/TMD, so Dr. Singh uses an affordable, conservative approach to provide relief for symptoms. He creates a special mouth guard, also referred to as a night guard, that is custom-made to fit over your teeth. Worn at night, the night guard helps prevent your teeth from coming together to reduce stress on the joint.
